Responding to Risks Related to Environmentally Hazardous Substances

In acquiring land for development and income-producing properties, the Samty Group investigates the past use history, and if soil contamination is suspected, voluntarily conducts soil surveys in-house and by specialized research institutions. When soil contamination is confirmed, we take appropriate measures such as reporting to the local government and removing or containing the contaminants in accordance with the Soil Contamination Countermeasures Act and other related laws and regulations to eliminate the environmental impact and prevent health damages caused by soil contamination.
Similarly for existing properties, we conduct pre- and post-inspections for the use of building materials and equipment containing asbestos, PCBs, and other hazardous substances in the structure, and when hazardous substances are identified, we appropriately remove or contain such substances.
